Turmeric has great religious significance to the Hindus. This Sadhu or Holy Man wears cloth dyed in turmeric, and I saw him in the city of pilgrims, Dwarka, in Gujurat, one of the four holiest city’s in India, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna.
Cees Fun Foto Challenge theme this week is yellow.

Another wonderful shot from your Indian series. Just beautiful in all its yellowness, contrasting with the almost touchable skin of the Sahdu.

Thanks Francesca, so many photo opportunities in India. Very few western travellers go there making my visit to Dwarka a total immersion in the local vibrant and colourful culture.
