About ladyredspecs

I live in sunny Brisbane, Australia. My love of good food drives me as a cook, a reader, a traveller, an artist and but mostly as an eater. I cooked professionally for many years but have no formal training. Simply guided by a love of eating good food, respect for ingredients and an abhorrence of artificial additives, I cook instinctively applying the technical know how acquired by experience. I hope you enjoy what I share Sandra AKA ladyredspecs

Great shot. They can have that to themselves. Feel that vertigo coming on just looking at that.

  2. While your official contribution is nice I just love the photo in your header with the white houses contrasted by the cliffs!

Oooh, I’ve been one of those people on the bridge. It was a cold, wet, windy day in June and I’m afraid of heights. But I did it. It was fabulous. I did the twilight tour and had the pleasure of watching Sydney light up.
Since then I’ve also climbed Brisbane’s Story Bridge and am considering abseiling off it in the future. I’ve also run off a mountain (paragliding in New Zealand) and stepped into thin air (ziplining in the Daintree).
Go on, do it. You won’t regret it.
(PS I will never bungy jump or parachute. I’m crazy, not stupid.)

  5. Wow. How do they get up there? I get nervous seeing rock climbers, but this is in a different league. I’m with Francesca, I feel a vertigo moment coming on.
